Booking a cake smash photo shoot is a wonderful way to preserve a milestone moment in your child's life in a fun and memorable way!
Their first birthday is a huge occasion, and a cake smash photo shoot beautifully captures the joy and excitement of this special moment. Childrens reactions to their first cake experience are priceless, whether they’re shy, delighted, or full of messy excitement. These candid, authentic moments are perfect for creating long-lasting memories. The photo shoot gives you the chance to get creative with themes, props, and a delicious cake, which makes for beautiful and playful photographs. You can go as colorful or themed as you wish!
These photographs will be treasured to look back on as your child grows. They’ll be a reminder of how small and innocent they once were, and a perfect addition to any family album.

Tip for parents! You may want to bring old trousers to wear for this part as everyone gets a little covered in cake.

What is included in my session ?
All cake smash photography sessions include a gorgeous cake, decorations and backdrop, colour of your choice. On the day, your session will include a mini portrait session to start, the cake smash, and a clean up bath session to end.
How long does the session take ?
Cake smash sessions usually last 1-2 hours, and if you’re lucky enough to have any cake left intact, it’s yours to take home!
When should I book ?
I advise that you book in your cake smash photography session for at least 3 weeks prior to your little ones birthday to ensure that you recieve the photographs back in time. Please note it is always best to book in advance, as I only take a limited number of cake smash bookings.
How long does it take to get our photos ?
The average time between session and viewing your gallery is one - two weeks.
How many photos do we get ?
You will receive 10 high resolution edited digital images via an online password protected galley. Additional images can be purchased.
Can you cater for my child who has an allergy ?
This isn't a problem. Please let me know when booking and I will confirm with our cake maker.
Where ?
I bring the fun to you! I can shoot the session at your home if you have enough room for me to set up with my equipment. If not I hire a local venue near to your own home.

During the shoot her and Claire were great with our daughter. It's clear to see they have experience with children and gave 110% to make sure we got the best shots for our daughter's first birthday. the pictures are absolutely beautiful.
